Pat McAfee vs Happy Corbin
Having recently rewatched SummerSlam 2000 I can’t help but think of Jerry Lawler vs Tazz which makes me wonder why they wouldn’t have had Micheal Cole involved in the feud somehow. That could’ve easily been the foundation the feud was built around.
Micheal Cole could’ve been going off about the deplorable actions of one Happy Corbin to which Corbin would take offense to and get in Cole’s face about it. Then McAfee could’ve stepped in to defend Cole…just a thought.
Most other predictors have predicted McAfee to win but I think it’s going to be Corbin due to some cheating antics.

The Judgment Day vs Rey and Dominik Mysterio
Likewise, I’m going against the opinion of the majority of the IWC (internet wrestling community) and am predicting Rey and Dominik will win this one. Either due to interference from a returning Edge or due to Dominik turning on his father and joining The Judgement Day. Judgment Day does desperately need a win but the Mysterios winning makes for a better story in the long run.
Prediction: Rey and Dominik Mysterio
The Miz vs Logan Paul
Again, I’m in the minority in thinking The Miz is going to win this but The Miz winning in dominating fashion and putting Logan on the shelf gives a good out to keep Paul off of television while he gets more training. This would lead to Logan returning at say the Royal Rumble and eliminating The Miz from the match putting them on a collision course for a match at WrestleMania 39.

WWE United States Championship
Theory vs Bobby Lashley
Finally we get to a match where I’m in agreement with the majority in saying Lashley retains. Some predict Lashley to squash Theory in two minutes or less. That I don’t agree with. I think Theory will hold his own for a little bit but end up getting himself intentionally DQ’ed to save his strength for his attempted cash in later in the main event.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
Special Guest Referee Jeff Jarrett
The Street Profits vs The Usos
Not gonna lie, Jeff Jarrett’s involvement as the special guest referee has me intrigued because it’s not apparent why he’s there. I can easily see them leaning into the Street Profits desention, where Montez goes to hit a move on one of the Usos but they duck and he accidentally hits Jarrett. Jeff grabs his trusty guitar and smashes it over Montez’s head and counts the pin. Then after the match Dawkins turns on Ford and takes Jeff Jarrett as his new manager. It’s a little out there but not impossible, but either way The Usos retain.
Prediction: The Usos
SmackDown Women’s Championship
Ronda Rousey vs Liv Morgan
I’ll be surprised if Morgan retains because…well…her opponent is Ronda Rousey. If Morgan does retain I expect it’ll be due to the interference of a returning Charlotte Flair or Bayley.

Raw Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair
On the flip side I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a callback to last years SummerSlam except this year it’s Bianca defeating Becky Lynch in 20 seconds.

Last Man Standing Match
Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns
Chances are Roman is retaining tonight. With Vince retiring Brock isn’t too keen on sticking around so as far as I’m concerned Roman is 100% winning this match.
I did state in an earlier blog that the smart thing for Theory to do is wait until both guys are totally knocked out, then enter and make it a triple threat last man standing match. The referee counts to 10 and Theory wins without having to do ANYTHING.
Personally, I don’t think he’ll be cashing in tonight because they’ve been hyping that he will so much.
