A Money Making Theory

Another Money in the Bank show is in the books. I ended up 4 – 2 for the predictions. The ones I got wrong were the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the Raw Women’s Championship Match. I predicted Becky Lynch and Bayley winning respectively. Admittedly, Bayley was a long shot and I said it was going to be either going to be Lacey Evans, Becky Lynch, or Liv Morgan so I was kinda right.

Ms. Money in the Bank, Liv Morgan claimed the women’s briefcase and cashed in an hour or so later which is pretty much par for the course. I say this because except for Carmella (the first women’s MITB winner) every winner has not only cashed in successfully, but cashed in 24 hours or less after having won the briefcase. Boy I tell ya, these women have no patience.

My best guess is they took the SmackDown Women’s Championship off of Ronda Rousey because they want to unify the women’s titles. For whatever reason they don’t want Bianca Belair to defeat Rousey but they want her to hold both belts. My guess is they’ll have a unification match at SummerSlam between Belair and Morgan with Belair winning.

And as for the Men’s Money in the Bank match…I called that shit! Theory wasn’t even in the match and I predicted he would win and I’m proud as hell of that. They’re really playing up that he’ll probably cash in at SummerSlam after Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns destroy each other in a Last Man Standing Match.

Normally I would say that since they’re talking about it beforehand it probably won’t happen but this time I think it will. It’s an easy way to get the WWE Championship off of Roman without anyone having to take a pinfall.

Theory would wait until they both knocked each other out, and when I say knock each other out, I mean something brutal where they’re not getting up for a long, long, long time. Something that would require both guys being stretched out. Theory would run down, cash in, making it a triple threat last man standing match, the referee counts to ten, and Theory wins one of the titles (probably the WWE Title) without having to do anything. I touched on this in the WWE Money in the Bank Predictions except it was Seth Rollins in that scenario.

This is of course after he faces John Cena earlier in the night. Hopefully he wins, but chances are he loses, the build should be good either way, I mean it’s John Cena.

Bobby Lashley has another title to add to his collection and I’m not even mad about it. It’s weird but when someone holds three different titles two times apiece it makes me uncomfortable so I’m glad he won. He needs to win a tag team championship next so he can be a grand slam champion, he deserves it so why not.

Then there was a cryptic promo that a lot of people thought had to do with Bray Wyatt but has since been rumored to be for Edge. Edge makes sense with all the Dudley Boyz, Hardy Boyz, Eddie Guerrero, and Kurt Angle imagery but he’s only been gone a couple weeks.

Lastly, the Street Profits look like they’re heading towards a break up which I’m alright with as long as they feud after the breakup. I’m sick of tag team breaking up and not following up on it. That’s an easy way to keep both guys busy for a little while if they’re really set on splitting them up. Just sayin.
