WrestleMania 41 (Night 1) Predictions

World Heavyweight Championship
Jey Uso vs Gunther

Tough one to call, as many of the matches at WrestleMania will be. On the one hand, Gunther had a great 2024. He dropped the Intercontinental Championship after a record setting reign. He won the King of the Ring tournament. Ultimately, he won the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

Jey Uso didn’t have a bad 2024 himself. He defeated his brother Jimmy at WrestleMania 40. He won the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He reunited with the OG Bloodline to defeat the New Bloodline at Survivor Series. He won the 2025 Royal Rumble.

The buildup is quite comparable to Rocky IV where Rocky faced arguably his toughest opponent in Ivan Drago. Jimmy Uso is Apollo Creed in this scenario whom Gunther, Ivan Drago, destroyed a couple weeks ago on Raw. Jey (Rocky) has been slipping up leading to WrestleMania. Will Gunther leaving Jimmy bloodied and battered give Jey that extra push? Does he need it to defeat the man that is the embodiment of dominance? Or will Gunther show everyone that even with all the motivation in the world, it’s sometimes not enough? Is second place the best some people can do?

Winner: Jey Uso…YEET!

Jade Cargill vs Naomi

Is Jade Cargill going to get a massive push after WrestleMania? Yes, win or lose I believe they’re going to push her to the moon. The question is…does the push start at WrestleMania? Or will they have her show she can do business before the push starts?

Winner: Naomi

Rey Fenix vs El Grande Americano

I’d like to know who El Grande Americano is. My money’s on Hulk Hogan or Kurt Angle. But, it’s too early to unmask him. There’s going to be a mask vs mask match in the future. I found out a few minutes before posting these predictions that Rey Fenix will be taking Rey Mysterio’s spot. This doesn’t change the fact that I believe Americano will be going over. This will be due to interference from both the LWO and American Made.

Winner: El Grande Americano

World Tag Team Championship
The New Day vs The War Raiders

I think Big E is going to play a role in the outcome but who will he help? He was the genesis for the New Day’s heel turn but it wasn’t really followed up on. Maybe Big E gets his revenge here. Or maybe the New Day gaslit Big E into believing everything they said. This could be his way to make up for “not being there for them in the past.” I’ll go with the more interesting choice and that’s 13x Tag Team Champions…that has to be a record.

Winner: The New Day

WWE United States Championship
Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight

We’re not going to see a squash at WrestleMania are we? We’re not going to see Solo turn on Jacob are we?

Winner: Jacob Fats

WWE Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair vs Tiffany Stratton

A lot, if not all of the matches at WrestleMania are hard to predict because they can go either way. This match is the most difficult for me to predict. They have made it interesting, I’ll give them that. You can’t ever count out Charlotte but Tiffany has been on fire. I’m flipping a coin on this one.

Winner: Tiffany Stratton

CM Punk vs Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs Roman Reigns

Talk about cinema. This one has been built superbly and each outcome is just as intriguing as the next. CM Punk is out to prove he truly is “Best in the World.” Roman is determined to show he’s still “Head of the Table.” Seth is fighting for “the future of the business.” They all have something on the line. That alone is enough to make this match epic. Then you throw in Paul Heyman. Whose side is he going to be on? It may very well be one of the best main events in WrestleMania history.

Rollins spoke a lot about sacrifice on SmackDown. That makes me think he’s going to sacrifice something to win at any cost. I think he’s going to sacrifice his soul to win. He will join forces with The Rock and John Cena. He’s also taking Paul Heyman with him. The alliance with The Rock and John Cena won’t be solidified until night 2 but it’s gonna happen.

The alliance with Paul Heyman nevertheless will happen tonight. He’s going to turn on Punk and align with Roman. This alliance will be tentative. Then he’s going to turn on Roman and help Rollins get the win.

Winner: Seth “Freakin” Rollins
