The Return of 50/50 Booking?

So the NXT In Your House predictions were featured in the first video edition of The Daily Joe and since my computer is a solid piece of trash I’ll be doing this in blog form. I’ve been using my MacBook Pro to edit videos for seven years and its nearing the end of its run, I kid you not, I thought that bitch was going to catch on fire when I was rendering and exporting yesterday. Hopefully I’ll be able to afford a new MacBook once this one bites the dust.

Anyways, if you refer to the video above, you’ll see I ended up with a 3 – 3 score on my predictions and if you’re familiar with how I used to do my predictions you’d say I nailed it, but if you’re new to Just Original Entertainment allow me to explain.

Before I started my Rebrand. Reboot. Refocus. campaign all of the pro wrestling content was grouped under the 50/50 Booking banner which was a sub brand of Just Original Entertainment. I did predictions a little differently from everyone else as I would try to get half right and half wrong…or 50/50…booking…see what I was going for there? When I decided to merge all of my sub brands into The Daily Joe I also decided to do away with the 50/50 aspect of the predictions because I always had to explain it and to be honest, it was rather silly.

The first time I did predictions I got a score of 3 – 3 and I was trying to get them all right, like a normal person. In fact, the result of getting a 50/50 score gave me the idea to name the pro wrestling sub brand 50/50 Booking. It made sense because of the 50/50 score thing but also because it was a subtle jab at WWE for their infamous 50/50 style of booking known as… 50/50 Booking. After deciding on the name I consciously tried to get only half right and half wrong and that became my schtick. You have to admit, that was kinda clever.

I did a reboot of sorts at the beginning of last year where I wiped my record clean and made a huge effort to do predictions for every WWE, AEW, and NXT show. My consistency prior to that reboot was spotty to say the least. The goal continued to be to get a 50/50 score on every show though and the first set of predictions I did for that reboot I ended up getting a 50/50 score so that reboot got off to a good start.

Quite ironically, the predictions for In Your House was the first time since the first time I made predictions that I was trying to get them all right. So when I got a score of 3 – 3 naturally I laughed. I also realized I got a 50/50 score at the very beginning of doing predictions AND the first time I did predictions after both reboots.

This made me think, maybe I should go back to trying to get a 50/50 score every time but I would also do a “reboot” after every show. This way I’d be guaranteed to nail a 50/50 Booking score for every show. Huh…huh…good idea am I right? Just kidding, I’m done with that nonsense but I felt this was a funny story to tell and I hope you enjoyed it.

*Disclaimer* If this didn’t make sense, don’t think about it too hard. I was merely telling a funny anecdote, I didn’t intend to ruin your day.
